• Platelet Rich Plasma Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRP is an “autologous blood therapy,” which means it uses a patients own blood components to stimulate a healing response in damaged tissues. In response to an injury or tissue damage, your body will recruit platelets and white blood cells from the blood to begin the healing response. Modern technology allows us to concentrate the platelets and white blood cells from your blood so that they can be injected into the damaged area. It will then cause mild inflammation of the involved tendon or ligament and triggers your body’s healing process. The result of this process is the development of new collagen. As the collagen matures, it will begin to shrink and lead to tightening and strengthening of the tendons or ligaments of the damaged area.
  • Gamma Surgery Center Ambulatory Surgery Center located at Gamma Medical Center utilized by Dr. Lieber and Dr. Adelsheimer to perform interventional procedures
  • Prolotherapy Prolotherapy Prolotherapy is a treatment aimed at promoting the growth of new ligament tissues. This is done by injecting Dextrose (sugar water) into the involved area. As a result, it produces a temporary inflammatory response. Ultimately, the healing cascade is activated so that the tissue can begin to repair itself. Usually a series of 3 to 6 visits for injections are required.
