Dr. Adelsheimer is a native of Pittsburgh. His main focus is the evaluation and treatment of individuals with spinal axis pain. As a physiatrist, he focuses not only on decreasing a patient's pain, but more importantly on improving their functional abilities both at home and at work. He has advanced training from ISIS (International Spine Intervention Society) and PASSOR (Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation) in performing fluoroscopically guided spinal injections which include epidural injections, intraarticular facet and sacroiliac injections, median branch nerve blocks, sympathetic blockade, radiofrequency neurotomy and discography. He performs these procedures to help reduce pain so his patients can focus and succeed in his prescribed physical therapy program. Dr. Adelsheimer specializes in the non-operative treatment of painful musculoskeletal disorders, performs EMG/NCVs, and performs Independent Medical Evaluations.
